Foggy Bottom is a small, exclusive, family-run holiday home park on the Shropshire/Powys border. Situated a mile from Churchstoke, and 3 miles from Montgomery, the park is set against the banks of the River Caebitra (no flood risk), our fully serviced pitches have been designed to make the most of the beautiful views and teeming wildlife.
Husband and wife team Stephen and Kate Higgins along with son Scott took over the Shropshire holiday park in 2016 after several decades’ experience in the caravan park industry. With strong family roots in Shropshire and its borderlands, the trio are passionate about living, working and taking caravan holidays in Shropshire and Mid Wales. The small team of friendly and helpful staff are also local to the area, meaning there is always someone on site to offer hints, tips and advice to help you make the most of your holiday time.
We aim to provide our occupiers with a haven of relaxation and tranquillity, so we have just 50 serviced and well-spaced static caravan pitches on our holiday home park, meaning peace and quiet are the order of the day at Foggy Bottom and you can enjoy a real retreat from the bustle of urban life in a modern and comfortable static caravan.
In addition to its picturesque countryside location, the site is well maintained by our dedicated team of staff and groundsmen: think manicured lawns and colourful flower beds set against a backdrop of local wildlife and the sound of birdsong. If all the relaxation gets too much for you and you want to pick up the pace, the quaint nearby villages of Churchstoke and Montgomery offer excellent coffee shops, pubs, restaurants and shops, as well as fantastic local walks and panoramic views of the Montgomeryshire countryside.
Well-behaved pets are welcome to join you at Foggy Bottom, and the park is open for 11 months of the year, closing only in February, meaning you can enjoy time on our Shropshire holiday home park at any time of year: cosy winter weekends, relaxing spring breaks, long summer days and crisp autumn walks can all be experienced at Foggy Bottom.
